- At each shelf location, managed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS), a numeric display with buttons is integrated. The software manages the orders and automatically activates the display, showing the operator crucial information for order preparation: which location and how many units need to be picked for each item.
- The operator picks the goods, scans them, and once the task is completed, confirms the action by pressing a button. This signals to the WMS that the operation has been completed.

Optimized Put to Light Process

The process typically works as follows:
- Order generation by WMS: Initially, the Warehouse Management System (WMS) generates an order to place products in specific storage area.
- Pick to Light: Lights positioned on workstations or in storage areas indicate to operators the correct location of each item to be picked.
- Collection and placement: After picking an item, the operator moves to the “Put to Light” station, where a light indicates the exact position to place the item.
- Operation confirmation: The operator places the item in the designated location and confirms the placement, ensuring an efficient and precise process.
- WMS recording: The system successfully records the placement in the WMS, ensuring accurate inventory updates and correct product placement.
