WEFLEX and Track & Race Technology
Fiorano Modenese, april 12 2010, INFOLOG WMS goes live in ceramic district with german Track & Race technology, to manage the supervision of 40 forklifts, 10 picking bays and 40 mobile operators.
To WEFLEX SRL from Casinalbo (MO) the merit of having discovered the capabilities of Track & Race systems, a technology developed by INDYON from Germany, which is employed for tracking and supporting forklifts movements. More than this, know-how in logistics management and inclination for innovation allowed WEFLEX to make of Track & Race a winning technology for the ceramic district companies.

In the same way as in an automated warehouse, our software IntelliMAG coordinates forklifts operations while they move into a 3D mapped space: so the software exploits the huge advantage of moving a forklift system, and this allows a much more greater flexibility than the implementation of other kinds of automations, such as warehousing carrier .
IntelliMAG suggests the forklifts the best way to operate, considering the actual position they occupy in the warehouse at the exact moment, the role assigned by the warehouse manager (the "director") and the abilities of the forklift driver.
The possibility to always keep forklifts operative, and to remove all transferring downtimes and all useless pauses needed to synchronize paper work related to storing, compaction, picking, loading and unloading, are the distinguishing elements that can bring about 30% of improvement on operational performances .
